Stiver’s silver squad of angels
Last year, Lisa Stiver, Board Chair, MHC Foundation (pictured left), along with numerous colleagues from TDS Law, set up their Angel Squad teams in the lobbies of their new office tower at True North Square on December 4.
“Historically, I’ve spent the first day of Angel Squad at Misericordia and on the second day, hosted an Angel Squad with TDS team members in our downtown office building,” says Stiver.
This year Angel Squad won’t have a physical presence in downtown Winnipeg, but Stiver is determined to raise funds for Misericordia Health Centre.
“Angel Squad has always been an important community event at our firm. What I most look forward to every year is how involved our firm becomes. Dozens of our lawyers and staff participate by either making donations, or dressing up as angels and serving coffee to those who donate.”
Whether junior or senior in rank, the TDS Law team continues to show up each year and take part in Angel Squad. Stiver comments that there’s no “arm twisting,” people are happy and excited to take part in the event.
“I get to see a different side of my colleagues when we’re all participating in the event together. It’s great to see everyone engaged and supporting a very worthy cause.”
