Rosie Jacuzzi

“For me, the Christmas season begins with Angel Squad. It has a special place in my heart,” says Rosie Jacuzzi, former President & CEO of Misericordia Health Centre, who retired in December 2017.
“Those early morning spent chatting with drive-thru donors in our Sherbrook loop were so much fun,” recalls Rosie fondly. “And so many kind words and personal stories of people letting me know how much they appreciated the compassionate care provided at Misericordia.
“If I had to name a favourite year, it would be the year we broke the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest gathering of angels. I’m so proud of this accomplishment. And I remember doing media interviews both in the Mulvey school playground and on the roof of Misericordia’s Wolseley building!
“We received such unbelievable support from all of our community partners - Mulvey School, Balmoral Hall, St. Mary’s Academy, the West Broadway BIZ including Food Fare, and so many more - to achieve this record.
“Sadly, this is something we certainly couldn’t do today with COVID-19 protocols.”
Today, Rosie has just joined the Misericordia Health Centre Foundation board and is looking forward to her new volunteer role.
“I’m still participating in Angel Squad this year,” she says with a smile. “I have already donated and am encouraging my friends to donate as well!”
