As the demand on MHC continues to rapidly change, so does the urgent need for your support.
At this time, we’ve identified the following as the greatest areas of need:
- Long-Term Care
Your donation will help prevent social isolation by providing older adults at Misericordia Place and in Transitional Care with technology to stay connected with loved ones. Additionally, therapeutic kits to support the mental health and well-being of the patients and residents who are depending on us now more than ever. - Health Links – Info Santé
Health Links – Info Santé is the flagship program of the Provincial Health Contact Centre, right here at Misericordia. It’s a first point-of-contact and a critical COVID-19 resource for Manitobans. Funds designated to Health Links – Info Santé will support the expansion of this critical service, including updating technology as well as educating and training staff. More than 200 people have been hired to work at Health Links – Info Santé over the last several months, with additional staff being hired and trained every day. - MHC Health-Care Heroes
Front line health-care providers need support now more than ever. Funds will be used directly to support changing needs of MHC staff, including providing staff with meals to keep them nourished during this extremely challenging time. - Eye Care Centre of Excellence
Misericordia is home to the Provincial Eye Care Centre of Excellence, the largest comprehensive surgical and treatment program in Western Canada. In response to COVID-19, the Eye Centre has had to rapidly make many changes to continue to operate. One thing that won’t change: the Eye Centre will always remain open for eye emergencies.
